During an architectural project in 2009 where the existing house on a property needed to be demolished, we noticed that the original wood structural beams were in immaculate condition despite being more than 100 years old. We salvaged the beams and were determined to prolong their life. This sparked the idea for an outdoor furniture collection created from the thick beams that would stand the wear and tear of unpredictable weather. In 2013, inspired by the original Restoration Hardware started manufacturing Aspen made from sustainable FSC sourced wood.
